Snowflake Paintings

Today we used snowflake stamps to make beautiful paintings! We were such great friends, sharing the paint and trading stamps, it was really fun!

Caramel Apples and Turkey Pictures

We only had a half day today, but we filled it up with fun! The first thing we did was make caramel apples!

Apparently, I accidentally deleted most of the pictures of this step, but we all did it! We each had a little bowl of caramel to pour into the big bowl to melt...

We pulled it out to check on the progress half way through and gave it a little stir...

We sang "Over the River and Through the Woods" while we waited for it to finish melting...

All melted! Addy went first so the little kids would know what to do. Dip the apple in the caramel...

and then into caramel toffee!

While we waited for our apples to cool off, we made turkey pictures! We colored them with crayons...

Then we glued feathers on them!

I gave Elli a handful of feathers to play with and she thought they were pretty fun!

We were sure excited when our apples were ready to eat!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Books and Snow

We were really great readers today! I read to the kids, they read on their own, and they read to one another. I was just a big reading party!

We have so much snow on the ground, but it is freezing outside, so we brought the snow in! We spent a good part of the afternoon playing in this until it was almost all melted!

Gus had a ball getting the snow on his cups, and then banging them together...it made a fun sound and splashed water on his face!

Addison and Mason used some toys to press patterns into the snow...

We even made a few snowmen!

This little man was cracking me up today...whenever he would see the camera pointed at him he made this face! What a charmer!
