Black Cats

Avilee was in the Halloween spirit early this year and she asked if she could teach an activity. She showed us how to make black cats by folding paper, drawing half a shape and cutting it out. Her and Mylie helped the little ones with the details and we all had a great time!

Mason and Mariah insisted on wearing smocks :)

Balls and Grasshoppers

We got out the bucket of balls today and had a great time!

We all tasted them...

Bryell made a lot of baskets!

Good Kicking Mason!

Get back here ball!

Look how big you are Gus!

This afternoon, I caught some big grasshoppers in the backyard for us to observe. It was fun to watch them hop and climb. We could hop like them too!

Blocks, Teacher, and Friends

We love to play with blocks! Sometimes we build towers to knock over, sometimes we fill containers with them to dump out, but it's always fun!

Mylie is a great teacher! She had "school" for the little guys and taught them all about numbers!

After learning about numbers, the teachers had to "go to lunch"

This was the sweetest thing...Bryell had just woken up from her nap and was feeling a little sad. Mylie brought her all these toys to help her feel better!

Later, Gus had just woken up and Bryell piled his toys on him! What nice friends we have!

A Day in the Life of Teegan

I say "Good Morning!"

I play with a ball as big as me

I eat some lunch!

I chase around a smaller ball...

Sometimes it gets tricky!

Got it!

Maybe this will be easier to handle...

I practice my standing...

and I chase that ball again!

Frog Eye Salad

We have really enjoyed playing with things like cool whip in the past, so I thought it would be a fun idea to play with frog eye salad to add a little more texture to the experience. It was cold and sticky!

Gus thought the wax paper was way cooler than any of that stuff that was on it :)

Odds and Ends

I end up taking pictures all the time, but not all of them make it to the blog since it tends to focus on our structured activities. Here is a collection of our summer odds and ends!

Thank you for sharing your kids with me!
