Octopus Crafts and Foam Fishing

Thursday, June 24, 2010

We really love to read books, and today in our circle time we read all kinds of books about oceans! We really enjoyed a special book that had ocean sounds! We used our ears to hear whales, dolphins, birds, and the sounds of a reef!

Carson was great at making octopus arms!

After we read our books, we decided to make our own octopus crafts! We painted paper towel tubes with orange paint...

Bryell was a very serious painter today. She painted easily twice as long as the boys, and she spent the entire time giving me a stern lecture!

All done!

Bryell's octopus is a great swimmer!

This afternoon we went fishing in the ocean! We filled the sensory table with blue water, foam fish, and ocean creatures. We are great at fishing...and getting wet!

Wow! What did you catch Carson?

Gus had his very own fish! It sure looks tasty!

Octopus arms!
